The West Lancashire Girls Football League representative squads trials have now been completed and representative coaches have had the difficult task of choosing their selected squads. The League management team wishes to thank all the players and their parent/carers for their attendance and efforts.
The management, coaches and parents have commented on the high standard of football shown throughout the trials, unfortunately all the girls cannot be chosen and we would like to stress that non-selection is by no means a negative and we wish you all the very best for the remaining season. It is all you girls who continue to do this League proud on a weekly basis.

The players that have been selected to represent The West Lancashire Girls Football League in their defense of the Intermediate League Cup will be contacted by their club secretaries/Managers within the next few days.  After the Clubs have acknowledged their players letters we will post all players names on the website.

Congratulations to all those whom and been selected, you will be contacted within the next few weeks with regard to the Intermediate cup schedule.

Season 2011/12 will see the West Lancashire Girls League produce representative teams for the second time at Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16. We will be competing in the inter-league Festival playing against representative teams from West Riding and Nottinghamshire.
The Committee have selected experienced managers.

            


 We are working in partnership with John Moore University students in the fields related to Sports Studies, within this project. The areas which we are looking to incorporate in this proposed partnership are coaching, fitness, nutrition, sports injuries, physiotherapy and photography in action. We feel this will maximise the number of students from the institution, while also ensuring the maximum possible gain for both the students and the players who are selected.

REP TEAM TRIALS

The Trials will run over a 4 week period in October held at Liverpool Rd, Skelmersdale on Saturday 8/10/11 , Saturday 15/10/11, Saturday 22/10/11 & 29/10/11 teams are asked to support this by sending a few players from their teams at the relevant age groups.

THE INTER-LEAGUE BODY PROPOSES:

Each participating league will field representative teams at U10, U12, U14 & U16 age groups. Leagues tables will be set up for each individual age group and a combined league table. The combined League table will produce the Ultimate Festival winner.
